Renewed Spirit Ministries is dedicated to helping individuals and families experience spiritual renewal through God’s Word, prayer, and compassionate support. Our mission is rooted in Romans 12:2 — a call to transformation through renewed thinking and deeper faith.
Romans 12:2 is the foundation of Renewed Spirit Ministries, as it captures the essence of transformation. True change begins within — through renewed thinking, renewed faith, and renewed purpose. This verse guides everything we do and reminds us that God is continually shaping us into who He created us to be.
GOD LOVES YOU and no matter what you've done or where you've been GOD still cares for you. Come on home. NOW is the time. For there is HOPE

Rev. Edgar brings warmth, authenticity, and a deep love for people into every interaction. With years of ministry experience, he offers guidance, encouragement, and biblical teaching to help others grow spiritually and navigate life’s challenges.
Areas of Focus:
Rev. Edgar believes you can’t get anyone to accept that you love them until you can get them to know you care. He believes that to establish an authentic relationship with Christ, you have to believe God is able. It starts with renewing your mind to the truth. He holds to the scripture Romans 12:2 "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." (ESV) as a key concept in ministry. He was mentored and ordained by Rev. Dr. E.T. Caviness of the Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church, Cleveland, OH. He holds two MBA degrees, in Communications and Pastoral Counseling. He is also a certified facilitator of Prepare and Enrich.
A proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated. He is also an ordained independent minister and Elder with the National Association of Christian Ministers. And a published author of several poems and articles.
He is married to Angie Hariston for 24 years. They have five children, eight grandchildren, and four Yorkies.
His favorite scripture is 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 " Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."
With the guidance of the Holy Spirit and hearing a word from the Lord, she and her husband Pastor Edgar founded Renewed Spirit Worship Center in September 2013. With a passion for helping young girls walk as women of God, she can often be found mentoring them in any way through song, dance or just plain conversation. Lady Angie is a native of Cleveland and relocated to North Carolina with her family in 2008. She fell in love and married Pastor Edgar in 2001 and together they have 5 children (including a set of triplets) and eight adorable grandchildren.
Lady Angie completed her undergrad at Franklin University. With a focus on Human Resource Management, dual MBAs, and pursuing her doctorate. Lady Angie is a certified HR Professional with PHR certification from HRCI. She is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
Lady Angie started working in the vineyard for Christ in March of 2004 when she was ordained as a Deaconess at her home church The Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio. She served on various auxiliaries while at GABC including Chairperson of Women’s Day, member of the Evangelistic Choir, Deaconess Board, and Vice President of the GABC Federal Credit Union.
She supported and encouraged Pastor Edgar in his endeavors of starting bible study and a couple of ministry groups in their home was enthusiastic when he imparted the vision to step out and assist in launching a church plant. She served as an advisor and ministry leader of the praise dance ministry.
She is thankful to God for her spiritual growth and development and longs to reach young girls and ladies where they are so they can truly become the virtuous women God desires them to be. Her favorite Scripture can be found in Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding; in all thine ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.” (KJV)
